After switching to GNOME Shell yesterday for trying out some interface tweaks, I noticed authentication did not work. I would type the admin password in, but the Authenticate button would become inactive, leaving the only option of clicking Cancel. I checked authentication in Unity, and it worked with no issues.
Is this a known bug? I searched the forum but could not find any topics on this.
(This is on Ubuntu 13.10 / GNOME 3)
