Cool Re: Decent December screen shot thread.

Still same theme. Been playing around with the above wallpaper, managed to make it my grub background as well.

    I'm a man, I can re-install, if I have to, I guess!

    nice.
Unfortunately I have no Linux atm. My son permanently "borrowed" my laptop for his college, he'd better pass his exams and get a well paying job to treat me to another.lol

    Thanks!

I own a 10" Asus EeePC 1000HD, running Peppermint Four. Love it, but it doesn't project the image I'm looking for in the boardroom, convention halls, attorney's office, et cetera.

You know... it's funny you mention that.

I just bought the optional OEM shock-mounted, 'ruggedized' HDD for my ATG D630, and decided to try some different distros.

I tried installing Crunchbang 11, Elementary Luna, and Ubu 12.04 LTS.

All of them worked great on a USB stick with persistence, but when I installed them to the HDD, they all failed, in one way or another.

Peppermint Four Re-Spin (11/2013 build) is the only one that worked out_of_the_box without a bunch of fiddling around.

I prefer Peppermint OS on portables anyway, so no big deal.
