Question Creating a custom live install/enviroment

    Hi all.

Is there a way to create a modified ISO or installation of a linux distro.
Or a clone of my current install (without my personal information in it).

What I'd like to do is have either a live CD or DVD ISO of a Linux/Ubuntu system.
But, I'd also like to have things like flash, java, codecs and the like installed too.
So that I could have an enviroment set up to my liking.

Is there an easy (GUI ?) way to achive this ?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Use a usb and install Ubuntu on it like you do on a HD.
Than you can use that to boot Ubuntu where you want and on any computer you want.
With online datastorage like UbuntuOne or DropBox or other you can always on documents or other stuff you want to use.
Of course you can put files on that install too if you want.
It will work slower than a install on a HD but that depentent on the speed of the Usb and the computer you use.

Search the forums using the terms "custom iso" - there are plenty of topics that deal with this issue.

+1. Please research before posting. Search not just the forums but the entire web. There is a TON of information about this out there:
