    I remember that tool. It worked, but it was sloooooow.

    I'm pretty sure (FC hat on) that we'd be not wanting to use any add-on's. The one's we have cause enough issues on their own, or don't work properly.

    I think that the LP page would be re-used, I suspect that caboose885 will need help wresting control of that.

    There's an unused/closed forum area already, that just needs the door opening.

    I'm imagining that the idea is to be less bureaucratic this time.

    The Firefox plugin will not be used. I think the "Unanswered Posts" tool built into the forum will work just fine.

    Elfy. Way to steal my thunder

    I am trying to make the new UA team as straight forward and simple as possible. I feel the reason the last team dissolved was due to complexity and difficulty in joining. No frills, just helping out the Ubuntu community.

    Re: Resurrecting the Unanswered Threads Team

    I listed in the presentation that we needed just 15 members. That was just a getting started number. I would love to have more than that. The application process is still being developed. Pending the FC meeting results. I would be curious to see how many people are interested in joining.

    @Caboose885 ;

    If with my meager knowledge and lack of IRC protocol familiarity I can make a contribution to the forum;
    Count me in ! ..
    Be advised I do look over the "Unanswered Post" and rarely find a post I can respond to.

    This is my operating system of choice and by this means do I learn it !

    still learning even after all these years

    Re: Resurrecting the Unanswered Threads Team

    I occasionally look at unanswered posts but it is filled with jail, spammalot & infraction posts which also are 0 posts. It might help to exclude those and maybe a few others in the query.

    Please use Thread Tools above first post to close thread when/if answered completely.

    Pretty sure that we'd not be able to do that, but it only affects those with moderated rights obviously.

    Re: Resurrecting the Unanswered Threads Team

    Would they be able to tune the filter of the 'Unanswered posts'? That way it controls the posts it returns?

    There is already a very simple and customizable search for unanswered posts.
    Advanced search -> at most 0 replies -> specify all forums & child forums. Uncheck any you want to eliminate.
    Save search options for future searching.

    Am I missing something? I don't get why you need anything else.
