    Re-connecting to "old" account

I have been a member of the Ubuntu Forums for about a century. In fact, since long before email addresses became the priority for logging in.

Accordingly, my old "username" was not an email address, and with the new login procedures, I can no longer gain access to my "old" account.

Is it possible to regain access to that account? My previous Username was ibates.

Username is seldom an email address - it's discourged.
ibates registered with an account @adsl.on.net. If you remember it )and it's still accessible), the easiest way to reconnect is to change your SSO primary email address to that. After that, an admin will need to disassociate this account with your SSO account, then the net time you log in, you should link to ibates. If the old email is inaccessible, or you just don't remember it, we have a few other options.

I've disassociated the iandhbates account from SSO, so give it a try again. You need to log completely off of the forum, then log in again.
