I've searched around a bit and found that many people recommend Touchegg for touchpad gestures in Ubuntu. I'd like to set up three finger swipe gestures for different actions. When I install and run Touchegg, it seems that none of my actions are being recognized. Even with it sitting at the test menu where it indicates that you should be able to perform a gesture and have it displayed in the terminal I am seeing nothing, even for single/two finger taps and swipes.

My laptop is an HP dm1-4170us and uses a Synpatics touchpad. Everything that I can configure in Synclient works fine (including three finger taps) and the laptop works great with three finger gestures in Windows. Any suggestions as to a tweak to make to get Touchegg to recognize the gestures?
