    Enlightenment desktop with Ubuntu

Is it possible to install the Enlightenment desktop on top of a Ubuntu minimal install?

To be short, yes. You may also want to check out Bodhi Linux. Its based on Ubuntu and uses E17 as default.

    Re: Enlightenment desktop with Ubuntu

I have installed E17 but I cannot start it . Booting in CLI , #enlightenment_start does not bring the X interface, while it say to set up the display for it. But I can't set it up from out side of E17 - or can I? Please help me. Thank you.

The E17 session can be started at login. Select the icon on the right side of the greeter/password box. For a more complete E17 experience Bodhi Linux is the way to go . The Ubuntu repository package does not include many of the modules available for E17.
