13.10 - Cannot navigate above home?

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 13.10 -- everything is great except I can't seem to navigate above the home folder, whereas before it was easy to go "up" directories.

Of course I can use shell, but I'm referring to the gui folder navigation. How does one get around this?

Wouldn't this be a basic question for the most of you?

Probably another one of the many things the gnome devs magically made disappear.

Have you tried just clicking on the "Computer" selection in the left pane?

nautilus no longer has an 'up' (parent) button. You can put it in but has to be done in the source, screen

    otherwise -
    use keybinding, alt+up
use another file manager, nemo is a decent choice
