    Ubuntu eyefinity question

I'm running an AMD 7950 with three monitors and I cannot find where to configure Eyefinity. I can get all three monitors working but not acting as one. How do I enable/configure Eyefinity? Am I missing a button, is there some special switch, a magic setting in a file, etc?

My goal is to play Steam games spanning all three monitors. I am also on the latest AMD Beta drivers, direct from AMD. The CCC version is 2.20.

    Thanks!

    Eyefinity is automatically enabled.

On train right now. Will try to get back with some images of how to use CCC to get three monitors spanned by one desktop.

OK. Sorry about the wait. Real life, you know.

In CCC, under display manager, select (Multi-Display pick Multi-display desktop with display(s)..."

With three monitors, you'll have to do this twice to get all three split out.

Arrange your monitors as you want them and reboot.

Let me know if you have any problems and we'll work from there.

That is how I have it configured. It doesn't say anything on there about Eyefinity, figures. TF2 still sees 3 monitors and no option to go beyond their resolution as far as I can tell. I will have to try another game, too. I'm guessing this is a steam issue and not a Ubuntu issue then?

I don't think you can span screens with TF2 in Linux. I tried to find out how without much luck myself.

Maybe I misunderstood how this technology works. I thought it was like Xenorama where the OS saw only one display. Any ways, thanks for the reply. I'll just have to dual boot.

With Eyefinity you can span all three monitors as one display.

What I'm saying is that I don't think TF2 will span all three in Linux -- at least not that I have been able to discover.
