Username Set as E-Mail?

I signed up for a new account earlier today, and it set my Username as my E-mail, even though I set my name as Ad Hoc. Obviously, this is a problem sine I don't want my E-mail out in the open for everyone to see. I went to make another account about 10 minutes ago and had the same problem.

is there any way to resolve this?

I didn't actually go through the whole sign-up for the second account. I got most of the way through and realized I was running into the same problem.

I'd prefer Ad Hoc, if it's not taken.
