    Question A New Distro

Wouldn't it be nice to have a distro that looked like Mac OS, was as easy as Mac OS, nice and dumbed down for new users, yet was a community development, not commercial?

I would love to create something like this, but I'm starting high school, and our Computer Science class is only in Scratch right now. (Give it a search, and you will see what I mean)

Is there anybody who could start developing this?

Welcome. Please wait 24 hours before bumping threads. Thanks.

You can customise to your hearts content and get something close. Have you tried Kubuntu? Anyhow, if you're looking for devs, you should be posting in the dev sub-forum.

    You might try 'Brainstorming'.

And if you want to customize Ubuntu to look A lot like Mac OSX you can goto noobslab.com and check that out if that's for you. I have did that to my Ubuntu 13.10 computers, I know it's not same as the real thing, but it sure does look nice. I have always loved the look and feel of Mac.

hey, come down to the real world people!
ubuntu is ubuntu, it has its own personality, that is why unity was created in the first place.
if, by happening, you like the OSX, go for it and by a MAC machine, same thing with "i want linux to look like windows!".
if you have a ford fiesta, keep it as a ford fiesta, not turn it into a opel corsa.

no, it will probably look like a MAC but it will taste as ubuntu all the way.
it is like catching a dog, removing the head and the feet and cooking the dog instead of lamb for easter meal. it will probably looks like a lamb, but it tastes like a dog all the way.
