No. AskUbuntu is a community support site, like ubuntuforums.org.

Each site handles different types of questions and discussion.
If I am asking/answering specific technical questions about Ubuntu, developer input is helpful.
If I am asking/helping individual users troubleshoot common or obvious problems, developer input does not add value.
I think that the number of Canonical staff on each site is not a very relevant metric.
    Both are useful sites.

You're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine
The effect of Canonical staff "patronizing" one over the other is visible to some at least.

    Re: the other website

Thanx for the info. Reason I asked is because when I search Google for answer to problem before posting here I usually get directed to askubuntu first, then this site appears further down the list of hits. Just wandering how good they were.
