Ubuntu wins Canonical a "Big Brother Award"

Canonical’s decision to add Amazon product suggestions to the Unity desktop has seen the company presented with a ‘Big Brother Award‘ in Austria. The controversial feature [...] uses local search terms to fetch ‘relevant’ product results from the web [...] The Big Brother Awards – held annually since 1999 – hands out gongs to governments, companies, persons and projects deemed to “have done the most to invade personal privacy”.

Its a shame though, but for this issue 13.10 would be a star.
It is a most polished and professional OS anyway though.

13.10 is great, especially in the Xubuntu / Lubuntu flavour which does not communicate with Amazon.

Why do other flavors have to be brought down for unity things? Help develop flavors if you want something other than the amazon search feature.
