    Question Is "Unredirect Fullscreen Windows" still on by default?

    I was reading this slightly dated HowToGeek article and it mentioned ensuring that "Unredirect Fullscreen Windows" is set to off and that it was the default behavior in Ubuntu 12.10. Is this still the case and how to I check on the status of that option (preferably pulling only from approved software sources)?

    if you have compizconfig-settings-manager installed it is listed under "composite".

    You can check it that way.
