petition is a ridiculous way to get nothing done.
why not make pledges in game cost? perhaps that's what we need! a site where people would pledge to get game ported to linux - enough money pledged and company will more likely look into it. surely if people pledged 2 million $ to buy the game (like preorder it) they could make a port.?!? or still not enough money.... set the goal higher then.

Have to agree I'm afraid, nothing will probably come of this petition sadly. I've still signed it though Always good to support Linux gaming!
Best of luck
Signed!
Why be so pessimistic? Of course when everyone has the same attitude as mastablasta nothing will change. I signed it

it's not a pesimistic view as i offered an alternative that might actually work.
Perhaps it's different in USA where people like make petitions for everything, but here petitions are not really popular. i've seen countles of them being given in only to be ignored.

Online petitions are a waste of time. I think the whole world realizes that clicking an online petition and actually buying a product are two entirely different things. Hence crowdfunding. Do something real if you want to change something.
While I have appreciated Rockstar Games in the past, if they are to pose any interest to me today, they are simply going to have to make linux clients of their games without me having to sign a petition for it.
I'm curious how people expect to crowdfund projects like porting GTA V to Linux. Where does all of that money go to? Rockstar? Last time I checked Rockstar would have to start the campaign themselves for that, which they probably won't do.
