I have done what I could done before posting here ( re-installations , checking on other OS's) but I havent resolved my problem that my Ubuntu hangs in my PC for a period of time very often.could somebody help me with this issue ?

Note: I am sure that problem is not with Ubuntu and its due to hardware
I have installed debain too and its also hanging.

So what I should have to do , could somebody help me ?

    Hi raja

Could it be a heating problem. Maybe time to clean out the dust?

yeah , I have done what you suggest(used a sensitive brush) and my problem gone.

I have asked the same question before my colleagues and one of my colleagues told me that there is a possibility due to Hard disk, is that true ?

Hey , Off topic actually. Let me ask.

I have 32-bit PC. If installed a 64-bit OS on it and use a 4 GB of RAM , how much it will take ?

    3.2 GB or 4 GB ?

    I like 32bit

My laptop (4G of ram) sees 3.7G running 32bit. The system will take however much it wants, won't matter if its 32 or 64.
