    Android remote control.

Ive been trying for hours to get my android phone to act as a remote control for my Ubuntu 12.04 desktop. So:

Does anybody know where I can get step by step instructions in plain english, without the obligatory geekazoid gobbeldygook?

Does it really have to be this difficult?

    Ant.

That looks pretty neat. Do I have to have Bluetooth enabled on the PC?

Right now I use a Logitech remote keyboard and mouse that has its own USB receiver to which they connect as an HID device. Will the two work in parallel?

Not sure. Some Logitech's use a special bluetooth dongle that won't communicate with anything else. Only testing will tell. I think the receiver has a limitation that it will only pair with two devices--your keyboard and your mouse. Turn one of them off and try to connect with your phone.
