I decided I'd finally give in and check out what the fuss is about Linux, so after a bit of research, chose Ubuntu. I already have a Windows partition on my MBP, and I'm curious to try Ubuntu, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting it installed.
I've downloaded the iso image, and tried two things with it: I burned it to a DVD, restarted my computer, held option as it started up, hoping to boot from DVD, but no such option was available. The other thing I tried was booting it from a flash drive, but I'm told it failed to load BOOTMGR.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to fix this?
If any more information is needed, let me know. I'm going to check this thread in the morning.
Thanks!
