    Cannot install The Sims 3 via Wine ERROR

    Hello, I have created ISOs of all of my games because I don't have a DVD drive in my computer (it went kapoot). So I am trying to install The Sims 3 on my Alienware m14x loaded with Ubuntu 12.04. I mounted it with Archive Mounter and then opened it with Archive Viewer and tried to run the setup with Wine but I get the following error:

    >SetupNew\setup.cpp (140)
    PAPP:
    PVENDOR:
    PGUID:
    $15.0.0.498
    @Windows XP Service Pack 3 (2600)
    IE Version: 8.0.6001.18702

    Can somebody help me? Am I trying to install it wrong? (I'm kind of a noob)

    Hello. Have you tried installing it with PlayOnLinux with the sims 3 install preset?

    I have tried and I searched for it and only found some of the expansion packs and not the basic game. When I clicked "add a program not listed" or something like that, I walked through the steps and it said it was having a wine error or something like that. I will have to do it again to bring up the message (I am installing Skyrim right now via PlayOnLinux, no errors, will try after this is done).

    Thank you for your response, btw
