YouTube takes forever to switch from 360p to 720p/1080p

    Hi,

I've been having some problems with YouTube lately. It happens both in Firefox 24.0, Chrome 30.0.1599.101 and Chromium 28.0.1500.71 Ubuntu 12.04 (28.0.1500.71-0ubuntu1.12.04.1). I've tried HTML5 and Flash and it's the same. It happens on my desktop computer which has a GeForce nVidia 460GTX graphics card and on my laptop which has a onboard Intel graphics card. Both running 12.04.

When YouTube finally switches from 360p to 720p/1080p it works fine and sometimes I can go on to another video where 720p/1080p is already enabled. If I pause the video it sometimes says it's HD but it's in fact still low quality. I've searched high and low without any luck.

Hope there's somebody out there who can help.

    Regards,
    Casper.
