Re: How do you wake a desktop computer from suspend?

    Code:
    scott@scott-P5QC:~$ sudo grep -R [[:graph:]] /sys/module/nvidia/parameters
    [sudo] password for scott:
grep: /sys/module/nvidia/parameters: No such file or directory
    scott@scott-P5QC:~$ modinfo nvidia
ERROR: modinfo: could not find module nvidia
    scott@scott-P5QC:~$
Thanks for the help so far. I see it is not nvidia.
How do you know the name that it is using?

    It may be called nvidia-304

    Code:
    scotts875@scotts875-desktop:~$ modinfo nvidia-304

I also edited the file /etc/pm/config.d/modules from nvidia to nvidia-304 and it did not help.

Re: How do you wake a desktop computer from suspend?

The kernel module name (the actual file in the kernel tree) can be sometimes different than what it is called by. Did you check it this way as I mentioned ? -
You can check it with -
    Code:
lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 vga
..and look at the last line "Kernel driver in use:". Which one is in use? The same name should be used in above file.
I'd suggest you post the whole output of above as it will also tell us exactly what chip it is using (although I can't offer much help on that, but maybe others can ).

And let us see what it is listed as in lsmod -
    Code:
    lsmod
Also note that not all modules create a "parameters" directory in /sys/module/<driver name>". We'll check it after confirming the module name.

Indeed. It is probably the same driver that you checked initially - "nvidia-304.ko". Does its modinfo confirm that? -
    Code:
    modinfo nvidia
And what is that ATI card below it? An extra card or something onboard. Either way, doesn't seem to have any drivers attached, which in my experience is unusual.

Re: How do you wake a desktop computer from suspend?

These MB's have built in onboard video. That is what that is.

Re: How do you wake a desktop computer from suspend?

modinfo only yields data as nvidia-304
304.88 is the nvidia driver version
