Gnome_Classic 12.04 Change system font color

I want to change the color in the panel text to green. It is now black. Any ideas?

I am going totally retro, black desktop, green lettering.

Found two themes that could do the job, but neither seem to work on 12o4.

I have the theme GreenBlack partialy working, the theme has no effect on the top panel. If I can't get the top panel to work, I need to install the very nice scalable icons that its package with and replace my current icon theme.

Have found changing hex color in 'dconf>>gtk-color-scheme' a help. Haven't found the proper entry to change the white backgrounds to green.

The white backgrounds need to be replaced with green. Wheres that hiding in dconf? Is gconf still a valid option?

Ok, got it. Since I can't seem to find others with similar interest I am marking this thread solved and will continue on myself. Got to do icons next

EDIT:

Got it tweaked out and using it for about 2 weeks. Already tired of it and going back to what I had.
