Are you supporting Ubuntu/Linux with your steam Icon?

I was thinking the other day and came to the conclusion that linux needs to get all of the publicity it can. Some of us get tired of telling our friends and other people about linux to motivate a switch...So maybe some passive advertising might be a good idea? I basically just put a ubuntu icon for my steam account so other people know I use linux. While i do not care if it makes them switch or not, it makes me feel good about doing something to support open source.

    Anyone else does the same?

I was doing this for quite a long time now. It's nice you get people inquiring about linux and benefits how the game runs etc.

It works some people have gave it a shot after seeing me and adding me to there friends list.

I love the idea. I'll do that as soon as I open Steam.

If you played TF2 on Linux during the beta, you can display your Tux as well

Linux has come such a long way, more and more games are being developed for linux and with he new steam version of linux stuff is getting exciting and we are coming closer to that point were we can actually become a respectable OS for gaming.
