    Ubuntu DNS settings

So I'm trying to edit a new website. The DNS settings still haven't propagated and in Windows this was super easy to get around.

Just edit the hosts file and your set.

How do I do this in Ubuntu? I'm running 12.11 x64 and use firefox. Is there a simple firefox plugin I can use?

Any insight would be helpful. How do you web developers do it?

So I managed to figure this out myself.

First of all there is a HowToGeek article about this:

Then you need to clear firefox cache.
