Post Battery Indicator shows up twice in ubuntu 12.04

    Hi All,

I am fairly new to Ubuntu. Its just been few weeks that I made myself familiar with Linux / Ubuntu and finally took a call to wip off Win8 from my new Sony laptop and install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS release.

All good and I have learning every day.

    One quick question:

The Battery Indicator that show up on the top right corner of my taskbar. has two battery indicators. When you click on the RED icon, It shows up two icons, One in RED with some percent in brackets indicating the remainig power for e.g. (16%) and just below that I have another one that shows up as if charging is ON and in brackets will show up something like (00:09 to charge) with the lighting bolt on the battery icon which indicates that the power adaptor is plugged in.

I never use to see 2 icons for battery while I had windows 8, is this something normal in Ubuntu and if so I dont understand the logic !

    Any help is appreiciated.
