    Username Change

Hello, I just read the sticky. I'm not sure why my user name didn't combine with my older account as the e-mail should be the same, but none the less could you change my username to Diesel with a number after it if it's taken? Thanks!

Instead of changing your user name, wouldn't you like access to your original account?

Iowan, sorry, for some reason I didn't think the first one posted when I didn't see it in resolution area... so I reposted.

Cariboo, that would be great! Either way I'm happy.

    Re: Username Change

gmail ignores periods (decimal points) in email addresses - Ubuntu does not. If you change your SSO primary account to the version WITHOUT the period, you should re-link to your old account when you sign back in to the forum. I will disassociate this account in preparation. Good Luck!

    Re: Username Change

I removed the decimal point (as I know gmail ignores them, but that is what I had typed into my original log-in for ubuntu Forums. However I changed to have no decimal and it is still with the old name. Any tips? Thank you.

    Re: Username Change

If you set the old address (the one without the period) as the SSO primary email account, it shouldn't have re-linked to this account (which has the period). I disassociated this account again, but if you re-connect before changing the SSO primary email, it will link back here again. Eventually, we'll get in sync.

    Re: Username Change

IF you say that you'd removed the . from the gmail account on the 15th October and that the account was disassociated by us on the 16th I'm not sure why you've logged back into this account.

Username changed - other account disabled.
