    I see you use GTK theme with KDE? Can you tell me how did you do that?

    Ubuntu and Kubuntu installed, so in KDE > gtk3 setting I choose Gnomish Dark.
    You should try to install more sessions

    How do you deal with Plank's insane lack of customizability? I love everything about Plank, but not having a GUI to edit the settings with (unless you're on eOS) is a bummer. Docky is too monofied for my tastes and Cairo is pretty chaotic with its defaults unless you spend some time making it look not-obnoxious. What's your secret, Vin? I must know!

    Some Lenovos have a whitelisted BIOS which prevents you from changing the wifi card.

    Simple pimple, really...

    Code:
    vindsl@Zuul:~$ gedit /home/vindsl/.config/plank/dock1/settings
    Edit n' save -- that's it. Refreshes itself on_the_fly after saving, so you can immediately see the change(s).

    Here are my current settings (most frequent changes, that I make, are highlighted)...
    Code:
    #This file auto-generated by Plank.
    #2013-10-05T01:38:15+0000

    [PlankDockPreferences]
    #Whether to show only windows of the current workspace.
    CurrentWorkspaceOnly=false
    #The size of dock icons (in pixels).
    IconSize=26
    #If 0, the dock won't hide. If 1, the dock intelligently hides. If 2, the dock auto-hides.
    HideMode=2
    #Time (in ms) to wait before unhiding the dock.
    UnhideDelay=250
    #The monitor number for the dock. Use -1 to keep on the primary monitor.
    Monitor=-1
    #List of *.dockitem files on this dock. DO NOT MODIFY
    DockItems=chromium-canary-1.dockitem;;alacarte-made.dockitem;;firefox.dockitem;;thunderbird.dockitem;;gcalctool.dockitem;;gnome-screenshot.dockitem;;gnote.dockitem;;gnome-terminal.dockitem;;synaptic.dockitem;;pcmanfm.dockitem;;rhythmbox.dockitem;;vlc.dockitem;;guayadeque.dockitem;;banshee.dockitem
    #The position for the dock on the monitor.
    Position=3
    #The dock's position offset from center (in percent).
    Offset=-25
    #The name of the dock's theme to use.
    Theme=Default
    #The alignment for the dock on the monitor's edge.
    Alignment=3
    #The alignment of the items in this dock.
    ItemsAlignment=3
    #Whether to prevent drag'n'drop actions and lock items on the dock.
    LockItems=false
    Does everything I want it to do, without getting in the way...

    EDIT

    BTW, I should mention... I'm using 'Clarity-mono-light' as the icon theme.

    Icon themes make_or_break the look n' feel of docks, et al. IMO.

    That seems easy enough, but dang, that little GUI in eOS would make so much sense to use elsewhere. Only question I would have yet is where to store the Plank themes. I can see how you can call them out in the config for saving them I'm not sure of offhand. Other than that it looks like the features I'd want are there, which is nice. Thanks for that.

    You can put custom themes in /usr/share/plank/themes, then just select the theme you want in ~/.config/plank/dock1/settings. Plank themes are dead simple to create, too, if you don't mind editing files to do it.

    Truth be told... I hate docks, but I love Plank.

    And, it's probably because I don't like to mess with GUIs.

    Heh! Go figure.

    Er...

    Guess I'd better throw a screenie in here, before we get yelled at.

    Here's the way I like to do things...

    And, here's the accompanying video (pictured above) rolling my own kernel. LoL!
