Xubuntu 13.10 display resolution on VirtualBox

Hi folks! I've installed Xubuntu 13.10 64-bit in a new VirtualBox guest, and even after installing dkms, linux-kernel-headers and VBoxGuestAdditions the max resolution available still 800x600.

The host PC is a Windows 8 Home Edition 64-bit running VirtualBox 4.2.18.

No errors were reported during VboxGuestAdditions install.

It's a notebook from my company, I can't remove Windows by now... is there any fix to this problem?

It doesn't worked since it is a Windows Host. But thx anyway, I could install Xubuntu 13.04 with dual boot now.

Does not solve this thread, but can consider this closed.
