Angry Autokey-qt and Autokey-gtk take up 100% cpu on kubuntu 13.10 beta

I've never had a problem with autokey but now when I run it it takes up 100 cpu and generally does nothing.
It might be related to an x11 problem but I'm using the most recent beta of kubuntu.
