after last kernel upgrade, all printers vanished...

    Hello All,

I do not know if it is related, but suddenly I have no printers at all on my 12.04 LTS notebook.

If it has to do with yesterday's kernel upgrade, I should not be alone.

I had 6 network printers installed...

    thanks for reading,
    ciao,
    -Gian

    Hi.

At boot up from grub choose advanced and try the previous kernel.

    that's correct.

Well, no, no printers even with the previous kernel.

So what can I possibly have done to flush out 6 printers in a row?

    thanks for your support.

I have another LTS pc in a remote office, so I carefully whatched what the upgrade was about, and it concerned both HP-LIPS and CUPS.

However, this workstation did not loose the printers after the upgrade...
