    Laptop HD Config SSD/ SSHD

    I'm looking at one of these laptops: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusV-15/

    I was thinking of two HDs - one for the OS, the other for backup/projects:

    * OS: 120GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW)
    * Backup:
    500GB SEAGATE HYBRID SSHD Drive, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (5400 rpm)

    Are there any known compatibility issues with SSHD drives?

    I've just put a Kingston SSD 120GB into my laptop, and it works great; Ubuntu is much faster. Technical details: KINGSTON SV300S3 505A

    FWIW: I've never heard of SSD or HDD problems with Linux.

    Thanks. Still deliberating whether to go with an SSHD or just a standard HD.
