    Talking Dual monitor setup

I am running a HP Compaq 6715b laptop with a win 7 and Ubuntu 13.04 dual boot, I just hooked up an lcd monitor using the vga adapter on the laptop, both screens are working fine but I am having some difficulty figuring out how to set up dual monitors, graphics are Gallium 0.4 on ATI RS690m, having a hard time trying to figure out about the graphics card, i have the same thing going on on both monitors, how can I set this up as different desktops so to speak, so I can drag a folder or browser window or whatever to either screen, or can't I with this setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I figured it out this morning just before I seen your reply, but thank you very much anyway, I unchecked the mirror displays check box in display settings, wasn't sure about that yesterday, still very new to the Linux Os's.
