Is there a way to display DVD covers in Nautilus?

    Hi,

I've backed up my DVD's to my computer as they keep getting scratched, and it got me thinking.

Question: How can I go about doing the following:

    1. In nautilus I'd like to have large icons of the DVD covers instead of the thumbnail preview.

    2. I'd like to adjust the gap between the DVD covers to squeeze in as many covers as possible horizontally, nautilus seems to have a large gap.

    And if possible:

    3. Do the same but it in Dash, so i can search for them

Any help in with this direction is mucho appreciated.

    Thanks,

I can change the files individually OK, but the white padding space I can't figure out how to reduce this gap so I can fit about 5 together on a line?

Re: Is there a way to display DVD covers in Nautilus?

Here are some things that I found.

    DVD Cover Nautilus Script

I only include this for if you also want to make them as well. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/?content=132671

    Cover Thumbnailer

Don't know if this will do the job be here is info on it. Display covers in Nautilus, Cover Thumbnailer is a small Python script for Nautilus, which displays music album covers, preview of pictures which are in a folder and more. The script fits in nautilus like any other thumbnailer of the GNOME thumbnail factory; so you don't have to run it manually to generate thumbnails.

    WebUpD8

Has an article on this http://www.webupd8.org/2011/10/cover...utilus-3x.html

Also you can get covers from here http://www.freecovers.net/

Also on AskUbuntu there is a question on how they work here http://askubuntu.com/questions/15782...humbnails-work

Even though some of it might not be exactly what you want you might be able to use it to figure out how to get it working. AskUbuntu is a great place to post the question as well.
    Hope the info helped.
