Open question. Knowledge sharing and problem fixing.

So i'am getting more into programming, mainly Java, HTML5, CSS3 and Sequel and yes i know besides Java they are scripting languages.

And was wondering if their were any channels like a TS channel or something, where novice and experienced people share knowledge in different areas. And see people's strong and weak areas.
Helping eachother out maybe by looking over a project and come with suggestions.
Besides using a forum, which can be slow.

For example i got low experience in the above but a lot in servers, hardware, security, network (Cisco), database table design(moderate).
And would love to trade help in this area for help in other areas.

Where do you know besides the traditional forums?
