Lubuntu installation parameter for "recursive fault"

I've run Ubuntu on Intel PCs in the past but have been away from it for awhile. Currently, trying to install Lubuntu on a PowerPC (iBook G4) from a cd-rom from the ISO. I see in "12.10 Known Issues" that the response to "Fixing recursive fault but reboot is required" message - which is where I'm stuck - is to "try booting with the parameter "snd-powermac-blacklist=yes" but I can't figure out who to boot with the parameter. I see how to add it to yaboot.conf, but I can't edit the file on the unwriteable boot CD. Where am I going wrong please?

It's been a while since I installed Debian on my G3 (about 2 years ago) but you should be able to add the parameter at the yaboot prompt once you started the boot process from the CD.

Welcome to the Ubuntu Forums tim_spofford,

If you ask also at the lubuntu user list <Lubuntu-users_at_lists.ubuntu.com> you have a good chance to find people, who know the details. (I have no Power PC, so I don't know enough to help you.)

    Good luck
