    13.10, working Cinnamon 1.8?

Any news about Cinnamon in official repo that works? currently even Cinnamon ppa is unusable for 13.10 because of unmet packages.

You made me try the same thing I've been trying for some time some time ago:
    Code:
    :~$ sudo apt-get install -s cinnamon
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
cinnamon : Depends: libgjs0-libmozjs185-1.0 but it is not installable
Depends: libgjs0c (>= 1.36.1) but it is not installable
Recommends: nemo but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: cinnamon-screensaver but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: gir1.2-gjsdbus-1.0 but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
After weeks of trying I simply gave up...
It is the same now as it was then...
(above applies only on my trial to use 1.8 Cinnamon)

Yes same issue, one i dont understand why developers just include needed libraries or drop them if not needed. i hope ubuntu official archive arrives.

I've installed Cinnamon 1.7 just for old times sakes...
But, alias, my scrollball is not working in it...
As a matter of fact it does not work in Unity either, and it work as usual in Gnome... ???
Let alone nemo that keeps poping every time... I'll just have to tweak its .dekstop, once I get enough spare time on my hands...

You could always try the 1.9.x nightly, maybe you'll catch one that works correctly.
As far as 1.8, it currently would ftbfs for at least 2 reasons, one easily fixed, the other not so (search path for a muffin include is incorrect.
