    To Download page for offline viewing

    I have tried to copy the website for offline viewing through the command " wget --mirror -p --convert-links -P ./media/Stuff3 www.maxembedded.com". But it only copies the index page and shows the following result.
    <body>
    Downloaded: 1 files, 93K in 1.4s (65.8 KB/s)
    Converting ./media/Stuff3/www.maxembedded.com/index.html... 15-2
    </body>
    And i have tried to do the same stuff with the HTTRACK and it show the similar result while trying to do the same act from the terminal and when try to open HTTRACK as the graphical interface form. The first page opens fine and gave me the option to choose the respective language and when i select the respective language, it redirects to the next page with the link "http://hypnotized:8080/server/step2.html" and display the result
    Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to hypnotized:8080

    I have tried similar stuff in wget but it copies only the index page.

    If all you want is one page, your browser should have a "save as" option, no?

    Downloading an entire website is a clear copyright violation.

    probably. but in this case the site is under CC license.

    also when i used wget i had to donwload my own website in order to move it (the service i was using didn't have FTP).

    furthermore if you publish a site online as soon as you look at the site it is cached and so is copied to computer anyway.
