Running programs

Okay so i have been using ubuntuu for a while but ive just kind off just learnt to live with the problem of not being able to run programs i download from a website could anyone tell me if i am maybe missing some software. for instance i just went to unrevoked3 and tryed to download it no problem when i want to run it it wants to only decompile it how do i run it?

The linux version I found via Google is contained in an archive which needs to be extracted first, and then placed in an appropriate folder.
