    Alsa headphone recognized as surround speakers

    Hi,

    currently I'm setting up a lubuntu on an old Fujitsu Lifebook S7110 but now got stuck with the Sound
    My problems are:
    1. The headphone jack is setup as surround speakers (in alsamixer)
    2. Whenever I mute one of Master, PCM, Front or Surround all four get muted and i have to unmute all 4 seperately again to hear something again.

    Re: Alsa headphone recognized as surround speakers

    i've got the same problem and with the same laptop (fujitsu S7110), but as i've recognised the 'headphon' and 'front' have swapped places. i've also tried to find a way to make my distro (ubuntu 12.04 server+LXDE) to automute while headphones plugged in, which depends on 'alsa' as well, but no solution found so far. i just kept on usin' it as is .
