Mac Dual Boot - How to Access RAID drive from Mac in Ubuntu

    Hi all,

I'm new to the world of Ubuntu though I am an old hand computer technician. I decided to install Ubuntu on my Mac Pro with dual boot and everything went relatively smoothly with the exception of a 5 hour long debacle trying to get a Realtek Wifi USB adapter working, even though it worked perfectly in the Live Demo, but I digress.

On my Mac I have two 1TB drives setup in a RAID where I keep my music, photos, and files. However in Ubuntu the two drives show up separately and neither can be accessed. The RAID 1 setup was done in software in OS X' Disk Utility and is formatted in HFS+ Journaled.

Is there something I can do to see this RAID drive so I can access my files in Ubuntu?

As much as I'm enjoying my Ubuntu introduction, this would be a deal breaker for me, and I really don't want that to happen.

So please tell me some good news! As Startpage has brought me no useful results.

    Thanks in advance.
