    America's Army 2.5 Assist

Not sure if this is of interest to many people here, we have very few linux players using this game but thought I would drop by and update everyone.

We are still actively developing Americas Army 2.5 on the Linux platform. We have recently ported over some of the features from the newer versions of AA2 and the project is as active as ever. So come and take at look at http://aa25.org and http://aao25.com we do need more Linux players! Linux is only about 2% at the moment, Even mac players reach upto 8% sometimes, the rest being winblows.

I would also like to get this added to the Ubuntu software centre, Does anyone know how to go about doing that?

Registered/waiting for response, but hey where did it install to? It should be possible to set the install path. Also it says that libstdc5 is not installed but I've version 6 installed (default 13.04)
Sad that version 3 is not supported...

Give it a try, if it fails to launch click the INSTALL button next to libstdc5 and try again.

Annoying...thanks for fixing. It works with libstdc6 but I haven't found antialiasing.

I might wait for the new version as of 29th Aug. and try that in wine 1.6.

try it in WINE? he's asking for linux users, which means playing it natively on linux NOT thru WINE.

No chance, the game uses punkbuster so cannot use wine.
Antialiasing can be set in your drivers control panel (ati and nvidia) dont know about intel.

We now have included a native pulseaudio driver for AA 2.5, It had made a big improvement in the audio latency we used to get using the alsa plugin.
