    Reccomended laptop/s

Looking for a new laptop that works well with ubuntu (12 or 13). Specifically want one that works well with two-fingered scrolling / gestures? Am considering system76, but am also looking into buying something that costs a little less and just installing Anyone buy one within the last year-ish that has had a good experience with the hardware (i.e. ... 'it just worked' )? Anyone buy with system76? Is it worth the extra coin?

    Thanks!

Last time I looked at system 76 they didn't have anything fast enough or with a big enough monitor.

I think Lenovo supports Linux pretty well, since I believe that was a spinoff of IBM when IBM stopped doing laptops. That's pure speculation on my part.

I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad T430 last year and highly recommend it. The hardware has given me virtually no trouble on Linux. Two-finger scrolling works great. In fact, the touchpad works better on Linux than Windows.
