@ronoc: What are the error when you type :
Code:
pmount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /media/lacie
Don't blame ubuntu for that. Until there is no stable solution, they can't do more than they do.
@MyBigToe,adds2one,RRS : Sorry guys, that was a stupid one . Fix now.
But i can't change gksu to sudo since gksu is the recommended way for graphical apps.
NEVER use sudo to start graphical programs. You should always use gksudo or kdesu to run such programs, otherwise new login attempts may fail.
@domino : Good to hear that it work at least for one personn . Now to remove them, just kill ntfs-3g-monitor, remove it from gnome-session, and have a look at apps>nautilus>desktop in gconf.
@RRS : did you upgrade ntfs-3g also during this update. Have a look at the common question section.
@bluntu : don't use ntfs-3g for really important data. corruption are near 0,0001% if you use it in the proper manner (see the WHAT YOU SHOULD'NT DO section) but there is always the possibility that it happens. That also why i recommand the copy/paste.
@mgsfan : have a look at point 4
