    I did that like 20m back, did an apt-get update, but for some reason, it still kept trying to get the packages from dapper instead of edgy repo, god only knows why

    So i just copy pasted the link with edgy instead of dapper and installed the packages with gdebi (thanks for the help givre)

    An other error of my part. This one is the worst release ever .
    I'll try to make things smoother for the next release. It's hard to juggle between 3 mirror.

    Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)

    I did the sudo apt-get update and apt-get upgrade, but when I tried to install libntfs-3g and ntfs-3g, the process failed. I don't know what the problem is, maybe there's a bug in my reposs or something (automatix).

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install libntfs-3g ntfs-3g
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree... Done
    Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
    requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
    distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
    or been moved out of Incoming.
    The following information may help to resolve the situation:

    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
      libntfs-3g: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.4-1) but 2.3.6-0ubuntu20 is to be installed
      ntfs-3g: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.4-1) but 2.3.6-0ubuntu20 is to be installed

    I am also getting the same error:

    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree... Done
    Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
    requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
    distribution that some required packages have not yet been created

    I started this process from a fresh Ubuntu install about 5 hours ago so I am not sure what is going on. I am a linux nube so let me know what other details I should be giving you

    Hi givré,
    Sorry for bothering you with the AMD64 issue. I tried to find the instructions and I'm not sure if these are the ones you are referring to:

    But you need to grab source and compil it yourself.
    Code:
    ./configure
    make
    sudo make install
    And after follow the How-To.
    I'm too new to Linux to know what to do with these instructions.
    Is that all I need to do or do I need me more details?
    What 'How-To' is MilesTEG1 talking about?
