If you have real problem opening gedit, use nano instead

That's less userfriendly but it will work for sure.
You probably mess your .ICEauthaurity (i'll give you a tip if it's really that)
Ok I am stuck then.
The mkdir/....winders/etc/fstab command returns
command not found.
I quess I am entering it wrong in terminal ?
