Hello. I'm a new user in linux world and ofcourse in ubuntu's. I have installed ubuntu desktop 6.10. After installing unbuntu my extern usb hard drive (3 ntfs partitions) were mounted but the ntfs partition from my notebook hard drive wasn't mounted so i mounted it with
Code:
mount -t ntfs /dev/sda1 /media/C
. Everything good until now. I installed ntfs-3g, umount /dev/sda1 partition and remounted it
Code:
sudo ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /media/C -o allow_other,uid=1000
I made a test and it worked. The problem is that when i restart my notebook /dev/sda1 is mounted again but i can't write anymore so i have to umount and remount it every time. What can i do.
The second problem is that my external hard drive doesn't apear in fstab, can i mount it with ntfs-3g?
This is my fstab file. I have acces to write on /dev/sda1 now
Code:
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# /dev/sda5
UUID=3692bcb0-99b4-469a-acdd-225d38c4d213 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# /dev/sda6

/dev/sda1 /media/C ntfs umask=0222 0 0
