Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)

    Oh yeah, i understand why.
I change the packaging distribution to have now a separate libntfs-3g containing all the (few/unique )ntfs-3g library. Because this package contain file that were before in ntfs-3g package, i specify it to conflicts with ntfs-3g package <= 20070803-BETA-1, and here's my error, i put 20070803-BETA-1 instead of 20070811-BETA-1, so upgrading from 20070811-BETA-1 don't work easily. Quite stupid .
I'll fix that in the following release

But now when I insert my mp3 USB player its not being mounted (plug n play). Yesterday it was fine, not sure if the new HAL is the cause.

Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)

What is the filesystem using by your mp3 device (try sudo fdisk -l if you don't know).
Change in hal affect only fuse device (see my patch for more detail), so if you don't mount it with ntfs-3g or any driver which use fuse, it can't be the cause.

Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)

fdisk does not list it because the USB drive is not being mounted in the first place.
    The mp3 players uses Fat32.
