    Intermittent Audio

    Hello,

I have Ubuntu installed on my Toshiba NB305, the speakers on the netbook are insignificant, so I've always plugged the NB to my Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N700 or to my Phillips O'neill The Sung headset. The problems I have is that anytime either the speakers or the headphones are plugged in,they play for 5 to 10 minutes and then they turn off on their own, if I leave the audio file play the speakers eventually come back on and the cycle repeats. The sound screen still shows the correct speakers but they do not play. I have tested both items on my other computer which currently has Lubuntu and my husband's which has windows 7, they played just fine in both of those. I have already set up the Lapdesk speakers as my default through AudioPulse Volume control and even turned off the built in ones. I still have the same problem.
I also already ran the following:

sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base pulseaudio
    sudo apt-get install alsa-base pulseaudio
    sudo alsa force-reload

Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
