As soon as I tried to run the install for my new computer, I was shut down with the same error message upon entering the time/date screen - there was a software issue and I had to reboot. After reaching this problem ~five times, I was prompted to create a new admin password... which I both misunderstood and failed to do. Now I am locked out of all admin priveleges, so I can't create a new partition, change my boot settings, or create a boot from a USB. I wasn't able to get a screenshot of any of this.
I've tried to get into grub, pressing shift key on boot does not work. There is no option to do a factory reset, anywhere.
Note: when prompted to enter the admin password in terminal, the only key that works is the Enter key. No letters, no numbers.
I don't have access to another computer to do this with and the only help Asus has offered is for me to ship it back - impossible, since I have to have it for school in three days.
If it helps, I ordered from Newegg. They don't offer software support, from what I've seen.
