    MacBook 5,2 issues with wireless..

    Heya,

This is my first time posting on this forum but I figured this would be a good way of getting support here in regards to a Mac that has Ubuntu installed.

At this point, I am using 13.04 Ubuntu on the MacBook and I have pretty much everything going, but the issue is that although I can get the ethernet working and I have everything updated, I can't get the wifi to work. Checking the wifi status, I can only see ethernet stuff, just not wifi, even though I put in correct details like BSSID and Mac Address.

Am I missing something or do I need to install a driver?

Go to System Settings/Software & Updates. Check the checkbox at the bottom of the window that is for drivers from the disk. Then go the the additional drivers tab. There should be an airport driver that says it is not being used. Select use and apply changes. Should work.
